THE Plymouth Combination were unable to surprise Torbay Sharks for a second year running when the teams met a Newton Abbot on Saturday.
The Plymouth representative side had managed to overcome Torbay 27-22 at Keyham last May, but they found their opponents a bit stronger this time around, with the south Devon outfit winning 22-0.
Plymouth, playing their first away game for years, battled hard and there were no scores in the first half, with the visitors missing three penalty kicks at goal.
But after the break Torbay, who can pick players from Newton Abbot, Brixham, Torquay, Paignton and Teignmouth, pulled away and scored four tries.
