PLYMOUTH athletes Sharn Hooper, Nicola Noble and Millie Wilson won age group gold medals at the ETU Cross Duathlon European Championships in Romania.
The event came a week after the road version of the event in Kalkar, Germany, where Noble claimed a silver medal in the 25-29 age group.
She went one better on the Dracula-themed off-road event, finishing in an overall time of 2:54.07. Noble clocked 50.48 for the first run, then 1:40.46 for the cycling leg and then 21.00 for the second run.
Home competitors Irimia Raluca and Salome Bander took second and third in 3:07.45 and 3:09.41 respectively.
Meanwhile, Hooper was second overall and won the 30-34 age group. She clocked 2:47.17, with a 50.56 opening run, a 1:34.30 cycle and a 20.06 final run, while Wilson claimed victory in the 35-39 age group. Wilson finished in 3:42.23, with a 1:04.23 opening run, 2:09.35 bike ride and a 26.26 final run.
