Bere Alston’s Hill smashes PB to take fourth place in Dartmoor Vale Marathon

Bere AlstonBERE Alston Trekkers’ Steve Hill smashed his personal best to take fourth place in the Dartmoor Vale Marathon.

Hill clocked three hours, one minute and 46 seconds to knock more than 20 minutes of his previous best time.

He was second over-40 athlete home behind winner Adam Ramsden, who won the event in 2:44.08.

In the Dartmoor Vale Half Marathon, Tamar Trotters’ Paul Gregg came fourth in 1:24.18, with Erme Valley Harriers’ Tom Packer fifth in 1:24.53 and Tamar Trotters’ Steve Baker 10th and second over-55 in 1:27.02 (chip time 1:25.59). Torbay’s Pete Monaghan won the half marathon in 1:16.47

In the Dartmoor Vale 10k, Erme Valley Harriers’ Joanne Edwards was fourth female overall and first over-50 in a time of 44:14.
