HUNDREDS of runners are expected to take part in the popular Tavy 7 race on Sunday.
The event was started in the 1980s and is now on its third course.
The current course, described as ‘hilly but scenic’ is on Dartmoor, with the start at Plaster Down. The race takes runners past Pew Tor and the hamlet of Sampford Spiney before back to the start.
This year’s event starts at 11am, with a 1.5 mile fun run going off 10 minutes later.
Organisers are keen to remind runners that the clocks do go back on Sunday.
Around 300 athletes have already pre-entered. Among those that have are Tavistock’s Neil Barkell, Erme Valley Harriers’ Allister Bristow, former Commonwealth Games marathon runner Stuart Hall and Tamar Trotters’ Pete Waumsley.
