PLYMOUTH Albion will again be without Cornwall winger Robin Wedlake for Saturday’s long trip to Blaydon in National One.
The former Redruth player has not featured for the club since injuring his ankle/lower leg in Albion’s first away trip on the season at Hull Ionians on September 19.
He did attempt a comeback ahead of last week’s match against Esher, but without success.
“Robin’s definitely not going to be fit for this weekend,” said Albion’s director of rugby Graham Dawe. “He is still struggling and we are trying everything to get the problem sorted.”
Albion also have injury worries over fellow winger Jon Dawe, scrum-half Matt Shepherd and lock Dan Collier ahead of Saturday’s trip to the North East.
The trio have been struggling with knee issues. Shepherd and Collier picked up theirs against Esher, while Jon Dawe injured his knee playing for Albion’s development team against Exmouth on Tuesday. The club, who are still without Harrison Cully and David Fisher, are optimistic Shepherd and Collier will be fit for their longest trip of the season.
