HUNDREDS of runners took part in the opening Frank Elford Sports Westward Cross Country League meet at Plymouth’s Central Park on Sunday.
The event was the first of six taking place each month between October and March.
The other venues are Newquay (November 8), Exeter (December 6), Westward Ho! (January 10), Stover (February 14) and Redruth (March 20).
City of Plymouth AC, Plymouth Harriers, Plymouth Musketeers, Erme Valley Harriers, Tavistock, Tamar Trotters and the University of Plymouth AC were among the clubs from the region well represented.
