PLYMOUTH completed their home Premier League fixtures with a comfortable 62-30 victory over Scunthorpe at the St Boniface Arena on Thursday evening.
That left them three points adrift of sixth-placed Ipswich and needing four points from their final two away matches to qualify for the end of season play-offs – and a quarter-final tie against Glasgow .
It was another strong all-round performance by the Devils with six of the side being paid for double figure scores.
Scunthorpe were forced to make a late change with skipper Theo Pijper ruled out through injury and his replacement, National League rider Sam Darroch, failed to score from three starts.
Plymouth co-promoter Ashley Taylor admitted: “It was an easy meeting for our guys. But winning meetings builds confidence and that was a useful exercise in building a winning mentality.”

Meanwhile, Scunthorpe have called up Sheffield riders Andre Compton and David Bellego as guests for Pijper and the unavailable Andreas Lyager.
