PLYMOUTH Leander’s Joe Hulme and Oscar Brain claimed silver medals on the penultimate day of the British Summer Swimming Championships in Sheffield.
There was also a silver medal for Mount Kelly’s Oliver Taverner, who had already won two golds.
Taverner’s latest medal came in the 13/14-year-olds 200m breaststroke, where he clocked 2:28.73.
Brain’s second place was achieved in the same age group’s 100m backstroke. Brain stopped the clock in 1:00.66.
In the same event, but in the 17/18 age category, Hulme renewed his battle with his Great Britain team-mate Luke Greenbank.
European Games champion Greenbank won in 55.54, with Hulme second in 56.01.
The championship conclude on Sunday.
