PLYMOUTH’S Travis Bramley continued his impressive season with victory at the British Triathlon Championships in Liverpool.
Bramley, who won the British Youth Aquathlon crown last month and the under-20 English Aquathlon title two weeks’ ago, stormed to glory in the youth category on Merseyside.
The 16-year-old Ivybridge Community College pupil triumphed by seven seconds thanks to an impressive run.
Bramley showed the speed he had produced the week before to win the 3,000m at the South West Inter-Counties Championships.
The Plymouth Tri Club member was seventh after the swim, which he did in four minutes and 55 seconds.
He then moved up to third on the cycle, clocking 16.32 minutes, before leaving everyone else behind with an 8.33 minute run. Bramley finished in an overall time of 34.03.
Second home was Moray Firth’s Cameron Main in 34.10, with Trowbridge’s Frederick Webb third in 34.16.
