PLYMOUTH College sixth former, Harry Preston, 18, will compete for Great Britain in the European Triathlon Championships in Geneva on Sunday.
Taking part in the under-20 age group standard competition, the talented athlete will swim 1,500m in Lake Geneva, cycle 40km cand finish with a 10km run.
Preston has recently secured his position in the 2016 event in Lisbon as well, after taking the silver medal in the under-20 category of the National Standard Distance Championships (Deva Triathlon) in Chester.
Also competing overseas this weekend will be fellow Plymouth College pupils Myles Pillage (GB), Kerenza Bryson (GB) and Eimear O’Neill (Ireland) in the European Youth A Pentathlon Championships in Prague.
Tia Simms-Lymn is also in action competing for Jamaica in the under-17 and under-20 Commonwealth Fencing Championships in South Africa – she is taking part in both age groups in the epée and the foil.
