PLYMOUTH Leander’s Charlotte Atkinson added three more medals on the second day of swimming at Island Games in Jersey.
The 18-year-old Isle of Man athlete had struck gold in the 100m butterfly and 4x50m freestyle relay on Monday night.
She then added two more golds in the 50m butterfly and 200m IM and a silver in the 4x50m medley relay on Tuesday.
The Plymouth College pupil, a Great Britain junior international, clocked 27.25 seconds to triumph ahead of the Faroe Islands’ Astrio Foldarskard in the 50m butterfly, before speeding to a time of 2:14.71 to win the 200m IM by nearly three seconds ahead of Sheltland’s Andrea Strachan.
She narrowly failed to make it a hat-trick of golds within an hour after the Isle of Man were edged out in the 4x50m medley relay by the Faroe Islands.
