Athletes ready for third Saltram test of the summer

PetemonTHE third race in the Armada Summer 5k Series takes place on Wednesday night at Saltram Park.

Torbay Athletic Club veteran Peter Monaghan has won the first two events

In April, he held off the challenge of Ben Moorish, while last month, Monaghan was pushed by young Travis Bramley.

Stuart Hall and Owain Parkin have also finished in the top four in both two races.

Wednesday’s event starts at 7pm, but all athletes have to be registered by 6.45pm. Cost of entry is £2.50. More information HERE.

Meanwhile on Sunday, Instinctive Sports will be hosting their annual Plym Valley Challenge race.

Described as a ‘multi-terrain seven country mile race’, it will start and finish at Tor Bridge High School in Estover and take runners down into the Plym Valley.

There is a limit of 300 athletes for the event, which starts at 10am. A fun run will be held at 9.30am.

All finishers will receive a memento, while there will be individual and team awards.
