PLYMOUTH Musketeers are hoping for a good turnout for their annual Muskies Madne5.5 race this coming Saturday (May 23).
The event will start from King’s Tamerton Community Centre at 6pm and take athletes on a five-and-a-half mile multi-terrain undulating course through the Ham Woods.
This year’s race is helping to raise funds for the West Country Hawks Wheelchair Rugby Club and the Alzheimer’s Society.
Entry is £12 for non-affiliated runners and £10 for England Athletics competition licence holders. There will be a £2 additional charge for entries on the day. The race limit is 250. All finishers will receive a T-shirt, pasty and goodie bag, while there will always been a barbecue and bar afterwards.

Meanwhile, City of Plymouth Athletics Club will be hosting an evening open track and field meeting on Wednesday night (May 20) at Brickfields.
The event starts at 6pm and caters for all age groups from panthers and under-11s to seniors.
It could be the perfect build-up for athletes competing at Sunday’s Devon County Championships at Exeter Arena.
