PLYMOUTH Devils ended a run of three successive home defeats when they beat Redcar 52-41 in a Premier League match at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening.
Co-promoter Ashley Taylor said: “We were in control throughout and the win was a big confidence booster for us.
“We were gating better and all the team chipped in. It was just the lift we needed ahead of our away matches at Workington and Glasgow this weekend.”
There were double figure scores for Sam Simota and Jack Holder, while Ryan Fisher and reserve Ashley Morris scored nine points apiece.
The Devils were without skipper Kyle Newman, who was on duty with his Elite League club Poole. He returns to the side for Saturday’s visit to Workington while Plymouth operate rider replacement for Morten Risager, who is racing in the Danish championship quarter-final.
Matt Williamson of Cradley will deputise for injured reserve Sam Chapman.
