Runners have their pick of a half marathon or a 10k on Sunday

IMG_7407RUNNERS have their pick of two popular races in the region on Sunday.

The first off is the Saltash Half Marathon, which gets underway at 10am.

The course starts in the town and goes through country lanes with stunning views of the Tamar estuary.

Entries are available on the day or on Saturday at the Saltash Mayfair. There is also a one-and-a-half mile fun runs which starts at 9am.

For runners who fancy something a bit shorter then there is the Bere Pen 10k, which starts at 11am.

The race is billed as a three-mile down, three-mile up course. The event starts at Bere Alston Primary School and takes runners down to the Weir Quay.

The following weekend is the ultra-popular Ivybridge 10k, which takes place on Saturday, May 9 (6.30pm).
