IMG_6948Plymouth Devils aim to end a run of five successive defeats when they meet Rye House in the League Cup at the St Boniface Arena on Friday evening (7.15pm).

The Devils have had a mixed start at home, beating Somerset but losing to Peterborough last Friday.

Co-promoter Ashley Taylor says: “We will be looking for our riders to face up against Rye House and show that we can be strong at home.”

Rye House will be without Nikolaj Jakobsen, who is competing in the Danish Final of the World Under-21 Championships and operate rider replacement to cover his absence.

They are forced to bring in a couple of guests at reserve with Oliver Greenwood, who scored six (paid seven) for Peterborough last Friday, covering for Luke Bowen, who is withholding his services, while Glasgow’s James Sarjeant deputises for the injured Kasper Lykke.
