Plymouth Devils look to bounce back away at Ipswich

IMG_6948PLYMOUTH Devils will be looking to bounce back from last week’s four defeats in four days when they travel to Ipswich Witches on Thursday night in the Premier League Cup.

The city side will then host Rye House at home on Friday evening in the same competition (7.15pm).

Rye House destroyed them away last Saturday, with Devils losing 66-24. That immediately followed on from a league defeat at Sheffield (56-37) and a home cup loss to Peterborough (57-36).

However, there was a bit more encouragement for Plymouth at Peterborough on Sunday when they only lost 48-42.

“It had all the hallmarks of a disastrous weekend, but the riders showed what they are made of in the return match at Peterborough ,” said co-promoter Ashley Taylor.

“Now we have to go to Ipswich on Thursday and do what we can before taking on Rye House at home on Friday.”

At Ipswich, Dan Halsey will guest for injured Devils reserve Sam Chapman.

Ipswich: Danny King, Ritchie Hawkins, Gino Manzares, Cameron Heeps, Rohan Tungate. Reserves: Stefan Nielsen, Nico Covatti.

Plymouth: Ryan Fisher, Sam Simota, Jack Holder, Morten Risager, Kyle Newman. Reserves: Ashley Morris, Dan Halsey.
