AN IMPRESSIVE crowd of 11,406 people turned up at Plymouth Argyle’s Home Park on Sunday to see England Under-20s beat the USA 2-1.
It was the first time since 1989 England had played an international match in Plymouth.
Hopefully, the size of the gate will persuade the FA to bring more fixtures to the city in the future.
England’s goals came from Chelsea’s John Swift and Derby’s Kwame Thomas, with Maki Tull replying late on for the visitors.
Former Argyle youngster Jack Stephens started for England, while another ex-Pilgrim Christian Walton was on the bench.
