The series, organised by City of Plymouth AC in conjunction with Run Fit, Run Fast, had previously seen mile and 1,200m races at Brickfields.
This time it was Tavistock’s turn to host a meeting and UK number two ranked under-16 1,500m athlete Freddie Whybrow helped pace a couple of the younger age races.
The final – and fastest – A heat saw Tavistock AC’s under-16 runner Young power to victory in 2:44.5.
City of Plymouth’s under-12 athlete Evie Bolt was the only female in the final heat and she clocked 3:25.0.
The B heat was won by City of Plymouth’s Chloe Souness who just held off her club colleague Ivy Ling. Both are under-12 and Souness clocked 3:33.6, with Ling running 3:34.0.
In the opening race, Oliver Neale (under-14) was the first junior in 3:24.5.
Also on the evening, there was a 200m hurdles race for under-14s. City of Plymouth’s Seth Gibbs was first boy in 32.6, while Tilly Day was first girl in 33.1 seconds.
