Donald Brooks, a M45 athlete, took the top honours in the half marathon for the south Devon club, finishing in a time of 1:18.41.
He was followed home by his club colleague George Tranckle, who clocked 1:19.31.
Barry Miles claimed third place in 1:19.48, with Tamar Trotters’ Luke Attwood fourth in his own club’s race in 1:20,53 and Lloyd Milbourn taking fifth in 1:21.22.
Southampton’s Caitlin Peers was first woman home by more than 20 minutes. She finished the hilly course in an impressive time of 1:24.43.
Second woman was Fay Giles in 1:46.01, with Jemma Cooper-Whyman third and first F40, Caroline Nickson fourth and first F45 in 1:52.16 and Katherine Dayman fifth in 1:52.18.
City of Plymouth’s David Robinson was first M50, while Plymouth Harriers’ Andrew Marshall was first M65.
Plymouth Harriers’ Laura Goodspeed (F40), Mirana Burke (F55) and David Morris (M40) all came runners-up in their age categories, as did Plymouth Storm’s Catherine Brown (F50) and Michael Hughes (M60); Tamar Trotters’ Karen Pomfret (F60) and Jane Bremner (F65); Plymouth Musketeers’ Kelly Brumhead (F45) and Tamar Trail’s Stan Sargent (M50).
In the popular 5k event, which started in 2022, Tavistock AC youngster Eldon Young held off the challenge of Belgrave senior athlete Lewis Knowles to take victory.
Young clocked 16.48 minutes, with Knowles finishing in 16.52 minutes.
Third place went to Newquay & Par’s Benjamin Marriott, who came home in 17.11 minutes, with Looe Pioneers’ Mark Deacon fourth and first M40 and Tamar Trotters’ James Lyall fifth and second M40.
Abbie Evans was first female home in the 5k, clocking 23.39 minutes.
Second place went to Storm Plymouth’s Georgie Farr in 24.37 minutes, with Thornbury’s Darja Konovalova third in 25.28, City of Plymouth’s Ava Buxton fourth in 25.38 and Tamar Trotters’ Kat Sarjeant fifth and first F40 in 25.44 minutes.
An impressive 321 runners took part in both races, while there was also a family fun run beforehand.
Once again, the race started and finished at Longstone and was tied in with the town’s May Fair.
