The Ivybridge-based club were able to name exactly the same quartet that had triumphed in 2023 – Luke Hayes, Charlie Milward, Peter Allen and Matt Gilvear.
They did run in a different order this year, with Allen leading them off, Gilvear running the second leg, Hayes the third and Milward taking the final lap.
They also managed to run the 4×3.3km event six seconds faster, clocking 44.46 minutes on Sunday.
Hayes again was second quickest with a 10.59 minute run, with City of Plymouth juniors Benjamin Mariott (11.07) and Isaac Lamerton (11.16) the next fastest runners.
Marriott and Lamerton were part of the City of Plymouth U18 side that finished second overall and claimed the junior prize in 46.11 minutes. They were joined in the team by Freddie Blight and Douglas Richardson.
Third overall and second senior quartet were the City of Plymouth senior men’s team of Tom Blackford, Jacob Robinson, Finley Squires and Scott Mansfield, who also ran the first leg for his first choice club Plymouth Musketeers.
City of Plymouth senior women were the first female team, coming home in an overall time of 53.12 minutes.
Their team was made up of Molly Gilbey, Phoebe Timson, Imogen Rickard and Annabel Arnold, who ran the fastest leg for a woman with a 12.02 minute split.
The second female team overall was Erme Valley Harriers’ F35 squad of Becky Prall, Becky Lee, Jenny Hayes and Georgie Winslet, who clocked 59.03 minutes.
Plymouth Storm had the first mixed team, which was made up of Lauren Knox, David Kilgore, Charlene Matthews and Jack Arundal. They clocked 51.17 minutes and came seventh overall.
Knox ran the second fastest time for a woman with a 12.19 split. City of Plymouth’s Molly Gilbey was third with 13.10 and Matthews was fourth with 13.14 minutes.
Some 47 teams made up of all ages completed the relays around a busy Central Park.
