GALLERY: Lamerton and Shorey impress in final Armada Summer 5k Series run of the year

CITY of Plymouth juniors Isaac Lamerton and Molly Shorey stole the show at the final Armada Summer 5k Series run of the year at Saltram House on Wednesday evening.

Under-15 athlete Lamerton was first overall in 17.57 minutes, which was 30 seconds ahead of anyone else.

Storm Plymouth’s Daniel Westlake was second overall in 18.27 minutes, with under-17 runner Shorey third and first female in 18.41 minues.

Plymouth Musketeers’ pair of Scott Mansfield and Justin Frost were fourth and fifth in 18.50 and 20.00 minutes, respectively.

Second female was Kirsty Prowse in 21.05 minutes, with East Cornwall Harriers’ Hayley Marriott third (23.50), Plymouth Musketeers’ Sarah Robinson fourth (24.02) and Instinctive Sports’ Bee Hodgson fifth (24.44).

September’s run had to be modified as the riverside path was closed at Saltram due to repair work.
