GALLERY: Lions hooker Doidge among the try scorers as Cornwall Clubs’ XV beat Devon Deaf at Tavistock

LISKEARD-Looe’s Archie Doidge was among Cornwall Clubs’ try scorers as they beat the Devon Deaf rugby team 56-10 at Tavistock’s Sandy Park ground on Wednesday evening.

Hooker Doidge was one of three Lions players in the Cornwall squad, alongside lock Yestin Hutchings and back James Noel-Johnson.

Meanwhile, the Devon Deaf squad included Plympton Victoria’s John Browning and Joe Neale and OPMs’ Steve Moran and Billy Garratt.

However, the star of the show was young St Austell winger Dan Navas, who scored four tries for the Cornwall Clubs’ side. Also on the scoresheet for them was his club team-mate Joe Welsh, Lankelly-Fowey centre Tyler Tresidder and Perranporth winger Adi Adreikenas. Perranporth’s Justyn Irons converted all eight of their tries.
