Plymouth Argyle have had a tough start to life in the FA National League Southern Premier Division.
After opening their campaign with a 6-0 home loss to Billericay, they were beaten 7-1 away at title-favourites Ipswich Town on Sunday.
Ipswich were 5-1 up at the break, with Rebecca Dandridge scoring Argyle’s only goal in the 26th minute.
Although they have lost their opening two league games, the Pilgrims did enjoy a 4-1 cup win over Exeter City the week before.
Beth Overton put Marine Academy ahead early but St Austell came back to lead 2-1 at the break.
However, in the second half, the hosts stepped up and Fedra Leal equalised from a free-kick before Sam Drewery and Carmen Morison sealed the three points.
In the same division, Liskeard Athletic were narrowly beaten 3-2 at home by Bristol Rovers.
Liskeard were leading 2-1 at the break thanks to two goals from Gabi Alphous, but Rovers came back in the second period to snatch the victory.
Plympton had to settle for a 1-1 away draw with Westexe Park Rangers in the newly-formed Devon League Premier Division. Melissa Yabsley scored their only goal on their travels.
In the Devon South/West Division, SB Oak Villa came from behind in their derby game with Signal Box at Weston Mill to win 5-1.
They then hit the woodwork twice after the interval but were then shocked when Neve Mitchell fired Signal Box ahead after a long ball had caused confusion in Oak Villa’s defence.
But within two minutes Oak Villa had replied through Emelia Heyes and then never looked back, scoring four more times in 20 minutes courtesy of Libby Williams (2), Katelyn Berry and Olivia Lennox.
In the same division, Hunters District were beaten 14-0 at home by Shaldon Villa.
