The club had the top four finishers in the race and filled six of the top nine spots.
The under-15 athletes got the short straw on Sunday by having to run last on a course that became heavily churned up after the senior men had run.
However, Molly Shorey made light of the conditions to win by 13 seconds. Club colleague Molly Shorey was second, with Abbie Chapman third and Madeleine Jones fourth. Fellow City of Plymouth athletes Phoebe Timson and Isabella Morris were also in the top nine.
There was another good battle between Tavistock’s Zoe Bigham and City of Plymouth’s Elsie Goodspeed in the under-11 girls’ race.
Bigham took victory by four seconds, with Goodspeed second.
In the same event, Tavistock’s Eloise Patrick came fourth, City of Plymouth’s Margot Goodspeed sixth, Erme Valley’s Isabella Drew seventh and City of Plymouth’s Isis Morris eighth.
There was also a second placed finish for Tavistock’s Charlotte Walker in the under-17 girls’ event.
The under-17s once again ran with the senior women and Walker was not only second in her category but eighth overall. Team-mate Nickki Kelly was 10th overall and eighth senior woman as Tavistock sit second in both the senior women’s and veteran women’s team events.
Gilvear’s club colleague Isabella Trowell had a strong run in the under-13 girls’ race, finishing fifth, just a pace ahead of Tavistock’s Anya McAulay.
Plymouth Harriers’ Johnny Gilby enjoyed a good battle with Cornish athletes Jon Dry and Ben Foyle and Exeter University’s Tom Crockett at the front of the senior men’s race.
There were also top eight finishes for City of Plymouth’s Finley Eales and Lucas Sweeney in the under-11 boys’ race and team-mate Finley Squires and Tavistock’s Noah Reid in the under-15 boys’ event.
