LAKESIDE Athletic came from behind to make it two wins out of two in the Devon Football League with a 4-2 victory away at Plymstock United.
But they were unable to convert their early pressure and Plymstock, who had beaten Paignton Villa away in their opening league match, went in front on 15 minutes when Sam Davey fired in a penalty.
That seemed to settle the hosts who started to get their passing game going, but two goals within four minutes at the end of the first half turned the game in Lakeside’s favour.
Ten minutes after the break, Lakeside increased their lead to 3-1 when the dangerous Presland scored a fine individual effort.
Plymstock did respond quickly with a goal from Jake Batizovsky and they shaved the outside of the post on 74 minutes. But a minute later Lakeside made sure of the three points when Russell got his second of the afternoon.
