Andrews is first home in opening Armada Winter 3k Series run of the season

TAVISTOCK Run Project’s Jordan Andrews claimed victory in the opening 2018/19 Armada Winter 3k Series Run on Wednesday night at Central Park.

Andrews won by 22 seconds, finishing in a time of nine minutes and 47 seconds.

Plymouth Harriers’ Steve Fletcher was second in 10.09, with his club colleagues Sam Yearling (10.25) and Alex Peyton-Jones (10.28) taking third and fourth, respectively. Erme Valley Harriers’ Liam Hallows was fifth in 10.53.

Ami Yetton of Plymouth Harriers’ continued her good form by finishing as first women in 11.47 minutes. Her club colleague Jane Allison was second in 12.41, with Erme Valley teenager Ella Isaias third in 13.14 minutes.

The opening winter 3k run saw 108 finishers.
