
City of Plymouth’s English Schools’ champion Victoria Weir (pictured) continued her impressive year with another PB, this time in the 800m.
The 18-year-old, who only two days earlier had broken her 3,000m best mark, clocked 2:09.69 for the two-lap event at Exeter.
There was also a new PB for her City of Plymouth team-mate Hannah Blair in the 1,500m. She ran 4:45.67 to finish third in a fast women’s A race.
Fellow veteran athlete, Allan Herdman of Tavistock, also enjoyed a good run. The 63-year-old ran 4:55.77, which ranks him fifth over-60 in the UK.
Erme Valley youngster Joe Perry lowered his PB in the same event to 4:48.16. That knocked four seconds off the 14-year-old’s previous best mark.
Tavistock’s under-13 athlete Dan Luckham also set a new PB, running 5:07.20, while team-mate Natasha Farrington, in the under-15 category, ran 5:09.51.
Nathan Brown of Erme Valley enjoyed another good 800m outing, clocking 1:58.07, which was just eight hundredths of a second of his PB which he set two days earlier.
Also in the 800m, Plymouth Harriers’ 16-year-old Harrison Roberts ran 2:17.08, which was a PB, and Tavistock youngsters Oliver Woodmason and Emma Ryder clocked 2:23.31 and 2:26.12, respectively.
