Olympic champion Meilutyte breaks elbow on way to training in Plymouth

PLYMOUTH’S Olympic champion Ruta Meilutyte has broken her elbow in a cycling accident on her way to training.

The 18-year-old suffered the injury on Friday and has had minor surgery at the Nuffield Hospital in Derriford.

It is hoped Meilutyte will make a speedy recovery with the Olympics less than a year away.
