PLYMOUTH diver Amelie Underwood claimed two medals at the European Junior Championships in Poland.
Underwood helped Great Britain get off to a medal-winning start by linking up with Hannah Newbrook, Noah Penman and Robbie Wood to win a bronze in the team event. They finished behind Germany and the Ukraine with 303.55 points.
She then teamed up with Caitlyn Coster in the girls’ A/B three-metre synchronised event where they secured bronze.
In a tight final, where just 12 points separated the top three teams, Underwood and Coster scored 245.04 points.
Germany’s Aliana Reihs and Zoe Marie Schneider took victory with 257.13 points, with Italy’s Rebecca Ciancaglini and Giorgia De Sanctis taking the silver with 252.60 points.
Underwood also reached the final of the girls’ A springboard event on Sunday where she finished ninth in a strong field.
