YOUNGSTERS Ewan Dix and Molly Shorey left the adults in their wake on their way to success at the Peter Tavy Plod on Bank Holiday Monday.
Tavistock AC under-15 athlete Dix took overall victory in the five-mile multi-terrain run, but he was pushed all the way by City of Plymouth under-13 runner Shorey, who took second place and first women.
Female athletes dominated the 16th running of the race, filling 
three of the top four places. Charlene Shorey was third overall and Jane Allison fourth.
More than 80 athletes set off on the tough run, which takes competitors out of Peter Tavy village and up tracks to White Tor on Dartmoor before returning home.
Prior to the main race there was a one-mile junior fun run. Full results to follow.
