GALLERY: Tavistock Run Project athletes fill top four places at Ivybridge 10k

TAVISTOCK Run Project athletes filled the top four places at the popular Ivybridge 10k on Saturday evening.

This year’s event saw a record 826 finishes in the race hosted by Erme Valley Harriers.

Jim Cole, who had previously won the race in 2011 and 2013, took victory in 32 minutes and 23 seconds.

He was well ahead of his team-mate and 2014 winner, Chris Rimmer, who claimed second place in 33.09 minutes.

Jordan Andrews came third in 33.18 minutes, with club colleague and last year’s champion Ben Neale fourth in 33.46.

Another former winner, Kairn Stone, was fifth and first over-40 in 33.56 minutes.

Tamar Trotters’ Bex Ezra was first women, finishing in a time of 38.32 minutes.

Katie Deards was second in 39.22 minutes, with Erme Valley’s Cleo Perry third and first female over-45 in 40.09 minutes.

Plymouth Harriers’ Raymond Tew was first male over-45, while Plymstock Road Runners’ Graham Bale claimed a top 10 finish but had to settle for second over-50 with Torbay’s Pete Monaghan, another former race winner, finishing one position ahead of him.

City of Plymouth’s Stephen Burns was first male over-55, with Tavistock’s Peter Bazley first over-60.
