The Year 10 pupil competed at the Senior British National Championships at SportsDock London and finished 10th, despite being still a cadet.
She then backed that up by winning a bronze medal at the British Cadet Ranking Competition in Cardiff.
This weekend, Black will be competing for Devon with former Plymouth College pupils, Tia Simms-Lymn and Kerenza Bryson, in the Excalibur inter-counties team event.
