PLYMOUTH pentathlete Myles Pillage won a team silver medal for Great Britain at the World Championships in Mexico City.
The 20-year-old impressed in qualification to make Thursday’s men’s final on his individual debut at the World Championships.
In the final, Pillage, one of the youngest in the field, recorded the fastest swim with a time of 1:54.95 and had a great ride, but was unable to make ground on the top end of the field after a disappointing opening fencing discipline.
In the end he finished 34th in a strong field in the high altitude of Mexico City, but his points were enough to help Great Britain win team silver, with Jamie Cooke winning the event in stunning style and Joe Choong coming ninth.
