GALLERY: Andrews continues his good form to win Plymouth 10k

JORDAN ANDREWS continued his good form with victory in the Plymouth 10k on Sunday morning.

Fresh from his top 40 finish at the Cardiff Half Marathon the previous week, Andrews clocked 32 minutes and 51 seconds to claim the title.

Second place went to Chris Rimmer, who finished in 33.30 minutes, with City of Plymouth’s Matthew Bradley taking third in 34.42.

Plymstock Road Runners’ Graham Bale was first over-50 athlete. He clocked 35.31 minutes.

Tamar Trotters’ Bex Ezra was first women home in a time of 37.47.

Second female and first over-40 was Rachel Bunting in 39.00 minutes, with Miriam Barber third in 39.47.

More than 2,500 people completed the run this year, which started and finished in Princess Street and took athletes along the Embankment.

There was also a 5k schools’ challenge race this time around. That was won by Mount Kelly’s Oliver Woodmason 18.56 minutes, with Seren English the first girl in 21.10 minutes.
